| I Got a New Toy |
I got a new toy yesterday. It's a Palm Treo 700p Smart Phone! Here's a picture...
First, I did NOT buy this for myself, it was issued to me by my employer. Apparently, it's standard issue for all the people in my group.
This is the coolest thing. I can surf the web, read my work email, read my home email, create documents, play games, take pictures, film movies, and believe it or not, I can make and receive phone calls with it.
Naturally the kids want one too but that's not going to happen. These things are like $400 and god only knows what Sprint charges in monthly fees.
This company is sweet! |

| We Were Told To Throw Them Away |
My kids need new t-shirts for school (yes, it's that time again folks). Michele has a gift card to Old Navy that's been sitting around for months so we go to Old Navy. Wow, "broken in" t-shirts are on sale... 2 for $15.
So we're looking through the t-shirts picking out dark colors for Nicholas and light colors for Jim. As Michele hands me some t's, I say, "No, these are no good. It looks like something was chewing on the collars." She hands me some more and they also look the same. "What the hell? Is that why these are on sale?"
Next my lovely wife informs me that these are "broken in". The "worn" collars are on purpose, done back at the factory. A closer examination of the shirts show that each shirt is "worn" in the exact same places. How 'bout that.
I don't know about the rest of you, but when I was growing up, if my shirt collars were worn, my mom would buy me new t's and make me throw those ratty ones away. Hind site being 20/20, I should have kept my old, worn out t-shirts from when I was a kid and sold them now.
Ahh... the youth of today. |

| A New Theme |
Tonight I gave my blog a new theme. It's a little darker than I'd normally go but the relaxation factor won me over.
I also hit the RSS Help page. It's light, maybe too light.
So what do you think? Leave your comments below. |
