| People Don't Need to Worry About Security |
Yes, it's true. Earlier today at the conclusion of a cabinet meeting George W. Bush, our president and Commander in Chief actually told reporters, "People don't need to worry about security."
He of course was referring to the Dubai Port Deal. Dubai Ports World is a company that is run by the United Arab Emirates government. This is the same government that allowed the transfer of money to al-Qaida for the 9/11 attacks and the transfer of nuclear components to rogue nations. The deal would allow Dubai to run 6 shipping ports in the United States. Best of all, the deal that the Bush administration put together has secret conditions to address security.
Is "W" insane? What the hell is he thinking? I think congress should put the brakes on passing a bill to block the port deal and focus ALL their energy on passing a veto-proof bill that would allow the American people to recall their president! Hey, it worked in California.
Now Arab American and Muslim American groups are saying that the rest of us are being bigots and are racist. OK, then answer this... how many US companies run the ports over in the UAE or any other Arab country? Here's a hint... ZERO! At least the Arabs/Muslims have their priorities straight.
You know, I'd be curious to hear my former co-worker Mark's comments about his boy "W". Mark, if you read this, let's hear those comments. I don't think even you can defend W's actions anymore.
Again, Pat Oliphant gets it right with the following...
