| That's a Lot of Nature |
I always use to tease my friend Raph about the nature around his house. You see, Raph grew up in the city and then moved to the 'burbs when he got married. He would tell me about all the furry little creatures running around his yard and all the things flying around. Basically, he wasn't used to all this nature.
Now I find myself in a similar situation. While I've lived in the 'burbs for the past 15 years, there was a lot of concrete. Sure we'd have some squirrels and some robins but that was about it. The house we moved into in December has a lot more vegetation around it which means... more nature.
On any given day we'll see squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and other furry little creatures. This afternoon, we saw everything all at once. 4 rabbits chasing each other around the yard. 2 chipmunks flirting. Squirrels coming down from their nest in our tree. Surprisingly, they all seemed to get along with each other.
Meanwhile, Max was having a fit. He wanted to chase the intruders from his yard but we kept him on the back deck. It was way too relaxing sitting there smoking a cigar and watching nature having fun. |

I'm happily married to my high-school sweetheart and have two sons. I love relaxing down the Jersey Shore. I also enjoy sitting by the pool after dinner, talking to the wife, watching the kids, and smoking a cigar.
