| More Idiot Drivers |
As you know, I've got a pet-peeve against people driving while distracted. You heard me rant about what I've observed... from talking on cell phones, to reading newspapers, to even licking and stamping envelopes while driving an automobile. Today I didn't see something new, I saw something different.
This morning I got cut off turning left onto Rte. 4 from Rte. 58 (that's by the Christiana Hospital for you non-DE folks). Anyway, this driver decided to combine 2 distractions. While using his shoulder to hold the cell phone against his ear, he was sealing envelopes!!! No wonder with both hands and an arm busy, he couldn't control his car and keep it out of my lane.
ASSHOLE !!!
Let it be known, the next time I leave my car a the dealer for service and they give me a rental, I will spend the $15 dollars for extra insurance and let one of these losers tear up the rental car. Maybe higher insurance premiums after their insurance company settles with the rental car people will get the point across... When you're behind the wheel of a car, you should be focused on driving, nothing else! |

I love your "Your car is not a ... (phone booth, post office, nail salon)" posts! I see people reading the newspaper going 70 mph on I-95 sometimes. CRAZY! And don't get me started on the ones going 45 mph in the passing lane because they're lost and trying to read their MapQuest directions!
