| Damn That Was Quick! |
Michele & I just signed an agreement of sale on our house tonight... got full price for it too.
We've now got 7 weeks to find another house, pack and get out of this one.
Sorry Mom & Dad, no Thanksgiving dinner at our place this year. |

| We're Moving !!! |
Well it's official, we're moving!
Talk about a ballsy move, I'm more than half way into a 12 month contract at my current place of employment and it's still too early to discuss extensions or conversion to full time employment. What happens if neither materializes? I'm so screwed!
However, sometimes you need to take a risk. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.
It's time to move on as the neighborhood demographics are changing. The average annual income of residents in my area is on the decline. Unfortunately, that means less money to repair and spruce up houses. I'm sure you all know how that ends up.

| Just the Facts Ma'am |
When I bought my 2003 Ford Focus in June of '04, I started keeping track of my gas expenses with the help of the PhillyGasPrices.com website. Tonight, I pulled down the data for this year and created the chart below.
As you can see above, the price I spend on gas has gone from $1.839/gal. to $3.299/gal. in less than the first 9 months of Dubya's second term! That's almost an 80% increase!!! What's even more disturbing, is that whatever they add to the gasoline in the spring and summer is eating away at my mileage!!
So basically, Dubya's buddies at the oil companies are not only charging me more, but they're altering the gasoline so that I have to buy more of it. Didn't big tobacco get into trouble doing something similar? "Hey, let's raise the price of cigarettes. While were at it, let's make them more addictive!"
I don't know about the rest of you, but my dislike for the current President of the United States has turned to total disgust. 9/11, IRAQ, Katrina, gas prices... the list goes on and on. To all of you that voted for Dubya because of his values, take a good look at how he values the lives of our boys over in the Middle East, Katrina's victims, and the average Joe's wallet at the gas pumps. I never thought I'd say this but Hillary is looking pretty good for 2008!
4 more years! 4 more years! Thanks guys, now we all have to live with your mistake. |
